2. Alternative Metals: Gold and platinum are always in, but there's a new generation of metals — from tungsten to titanium — topping the trends.

3. Open Bands:Chic and practical open bands are fashion statements crafted to sit flush with engagement rings.

4. Eternity Bands: Diamonds wrap all the way around these recently trending rings, symbolizing eternal love.

5. Curves & Contours: These on-trend wedding rings are crafted to wrap around engagement rings, so the set sits

1. Couple’s Rings

This means that partners can choose rings with "the same metal type or a similar pattern of accents along the band," notes Money. Or couples can wear the same ring in different millimeter widths for an even more cohesive look. For some, simply matching metal types is enough cohesion to create an eye-catching set for both partners.

2. Alternative Metals

Money confirms what we all know: "gold and platinum are always in." But, in 2024, a new generation of materials is making their way to the top of the trends: alternative metals.

3. Open Bands

Crafted with negative space at the center of their design, open bands add a touch of sophistication and uniqueness to wedding sets- New Window (and they can easily be worn on their own). Some open rings feature straight, classic bands, while others feature curved openings that add an organic, sculptural look and feel.

Open bands are both aesthetically pleasing and practical, as their open space makes it so they "can sit perfectly flush underneath or above an engagement ring," Money explains.

If your engagement ring- New Window features a large or elongated center stone- New Window, the negative space of these trending wedding rings will allow the shank of both bands to rest right next to each other without a slight gap.

4. Eternity Bands

Symbolic, sparkling, and stunning, "the popularity of eternity bands is on the rise," notes Money. These designs feature diamonds or other gemstones that wrap all the way around the wedding band, symbolizing "endless love."

Traditional eternity bands feature large round diamonds- New Window or unique shapes like emerald-cut- New Window or marquise- New Window stones. Modern versions also feature sculptural details, like twisting vines that add movement or floral elements that hint at nature- New Window. Whatever style you're intrigued by, Money confirms that 2024 is all about an “all-around sparkle that's both "stunning and meaningful."

5. Curves & Contours

Like open bands, curved and contoured rings are both functional and stunning. "Curved and contoured designs are meant to wrap around the center stone of an engagement ring so the two bands sit perfectly flush," Money explains, also noting their rising popularity.

Curved and contoured wedding rings are also excellent statement pieces on their own, meaning that you can wear them when taking your engagement ring off is prudent (such as when traveling). Whether you're wearing it on its own or pairing it with an existing engagement ring, Money attests that these trending-for-2024 designs will "create a unique look."
